คำว่า Compound ในภาษาอังกฤษ แปลว่า ประกอบ, รวม, ผสม. เป็นคำกริยาในภาษาอังกฤษ และเป็นกริยาปกติ (Regular Verb) เพราะแค่เติม -ed เมื่อเป็นอดีต.
